When she told me about this idea, I loved it. I’m a sentimental sap, so capturing this moment for her and Hunter was necessary. Re-creating photos for family members to look at can be cherished for many generations. Generation sentiment brings families closer together by capturing authentic moments with a simple photograph.

Recently, I had the distinct pleasure of documenting the engagement of Sarah and Hunter, a couple whose connection radiated with an effortless authenticity. Their vision for their engagement photos was clear: they desired a visual narrative that mirrored who they were as a couple. Rock Island State Park is where we chose to take pictures for their engagement photos.

One of Sarah’s requests was to recreate an engagement photo from her parents’ engagement session. Incorporating sentimental aspects during a photoshoot is always a plus for me because I tend to be a sentimental sap. Sarah also requested poses that represented her and Hunter as a couple.
