When this couple inquired for me to do their engagement photos, I was ecstatic that they wanted to wear black and loved Halloween. Doing their photos in a cemetery was a must, especially since this session was around Halloween. The sultry, black dress of the lady and all black out outfit of the man made this engagement session fun and not the normal. I like shooting the non-trendy engagement sessions and capturing their personalities.
Westbrook Wedding| Grace Valley Farms
From day one this couple has had the best sense of humor. We did their engagement photos pre-pandemic; however, their wedding was during the pandemic. They made the most of it though and still celebrated their big day with family, laughter, and coronas.... see the pic below to see their funny outtake on drinking coronas, during the corona. That picture in particular showcases their fun, outgoing personalities. Scroll through the pics below to see how gorgeous their day was.
Be Thankful For Your Blessings| Miami Homeless Blog
Every time I have been to Miami, I usually have to make a pit stop at this bathroom and there are usually homeless people around it. These restrooms are someones shower, bathroom, and place to rest. Imagine if that was how you and/or your family had to live. I know there is the argument that they can better themselves, but that's not the case for everyone. I think about the homeless people walking around with severe mental health issues that masks their pain with drugs or that maybe had a childhood so bad that they just needed a little bit of love throughout their life. Now, at least it doesn't get freezing in Miami; however, can you imagine the summers and how dehydrated you would get from being homeless in 100 degree weather.
There is homeless issues all around our country and I don't know why this situation in particular made me feel the need to blog about it, but it did. When I think of wanting more materialistic things or upgrades that I stress myself out about, I try think of this right here. There will always be someone out there wishing they could live your life and have the things you currently have. Be grateful for what you have because there is someone out there that has it worse than you do.
Divorced For the Better| Rock Island State Park
Everyone copes with divorce differenlty and there are numerous ways to heal from divorce. For some, divorce makes them a much better person and allows them to fluorish into the better version of themselves. When Mica asked me to do a photoshoot with her incorporating her wedding dress and healing, I knew we had to do something fun, but also something she could walk away from feeling relieved.
Maternity Photography| Sparta, Tennessee
Seeing my longest friend pregnant melts my heart. I have been friends with Paige since kindergarten so it seems so surreal that I took we took maternity photos of her. I can’t wait to see how much fun she has being a mom and seeing her little boy grow. I have been behind on blogging, so Paige has already delivered her sweet boy and motherhood looks good on her. Her baby boy is lucky to have a mom like Paige. She is one of the strongest people I know.
Wright Family| Family Photographer
Here is another good-looking family that I have had the pleasure of photographing. Even when the kiddos get big and grown, family portraits are important. You want to make sure to document how they don’t want to smile for their photos because they are too cool Those moments are important. When they have kids one day and get mad a their kiddos for not smiling you can look back and say, “Well, look at the family portraits…you didn’t smile either.”
Turning One| Family Photographer
Sweet Junie turned one! I remember her being in her Mom’s belly like it was yesterday. Then I remember taking her newborn photos like that was yesterday. Time really does fly with these babies. I love seeing Junie and Casey looking so happy in these photos. Josh is a big help to that and it makes me very happy for them. Again, seeing these families grow and transition make my heart very happy.
Downtown Nashville Engagement Proposal| Nashville Photography
I have not photographed too many engagement proposals, but this sure was fun to capture. Taking pictures of the guy getting down on one knee is such a special moment that you can’t go back and re-enact, so hire someone to capture the moment. Guys if you are about to propose, don’t skip out on hiring a photographer to capture you lady’s reaction to this special moment.
Benitez Wedding| Wedding Photographer
This sweet couples wedding day was nothing short of genuine. Genuine love is the best love. You could see it from the way they looked at each other and their vows were right from the heart. The tree they got married under looked absolutely perfect right before sunset. Sunset weddings are some of my favorite weddings to photograph. The lighting is perfect and makes a couples wedding day glisten even more.
From Maternity Photos to One Year Later| Northfield Vineyards
The first time I met this family was taking their maternity photos. Seeing them one year later and seeing their sweet bundle of joy makes these photos even more priceless. Life changes so much in a year so I love when clients come back to allow me the opportunity to capture their milestones.
One Big Happy Family| Cookeville Family Photographer
I had the pleasure of meeting this family when I did their maternity photos and then I was able to capture sweet Tucker coming into the world. I swear all of my birth babies have a special place in my heart. This blended family has nothing but love for one another and I love how everyone is so close in age. I have a feeling there is never a dull moment with this family and always somewhere to be. The one thing I love seeing with big families is you always know you have someone to be there for you.
A Wedding Day by the Lake| Nashville Wedding Photography
This couples originally wanted to get married on a boat, but again with COVID-19 plans slightly changed. They were still able to get married by the lake with some of their closest family members present. It may not have been on a boat, buty they were close to the lake and still enjoyed their big day. Congrats to these two Newlyweds!
Gone with the Wind| Murfreesboro Wedding Photographer
I know rain is a bride’s worst nightmare. Brides, I promise, don’t fret if it rains on your wedding day. Rain and wind can create such mood to your portraits. I know having the perfect, sunny weather for a wedding day is every bride’s dream, but in Tennessee you literally cannot predict the weather. This couple had COVID-19, rain, and wind against them on their big day, but look at how gorgeous and in love these two are! At the end of the day, your wedding day is about love and starting a journey with your partner forever. Cherish the moments of your big day and don’t worry what the weather will bring.
Auditioning Portraits| Murfreesboro Portrait Photographer
One of the best things about being a photographer is all the people you meet. Meeting new people and all the conversations I have had with my clients is one of the favorite aspects of my job. I have had the pleasure of shooting with Cassidy now and I love how she lives in Nashville and is following her dreams. She does auditions for different jobs so whenever she changes her hair, new headshots are a must. Checkout her latest portraits below.
Cookeville Engagement Photography| Tennessee Engagement
These two do not like having their photos made, but you cannot tell with all these smiles. Even if you hate photos, there are certain photos you should take. Engagement photos are one of them. If you don’t want a full session, at least book a mini session and have them taken. You will want those photographs to look at one day when you are old and celebrating your 50th wedding anniversary.
Nashville Lifestyle| Nashville Portrait Photography
I loved meeting Allison, who is also a fellow boss babe. She is a hair stylist in the Nashville area and she is a client I instantly clicked with. Talking to other fellow entrepreneurs is a highlight of my job. Discussing how we can relate to each other is our industries and laughing at the stresses of entrepreneurship is a relief when you get around someone who understands what you are talking about. This 30 year old-Lady Boss-is going to do big things so watch out Nashville!!
Our Home| Family Photography| Home Family Photos
Here is another family I have been able to capture milestones for. These guys are always dressed to impressed and make some of the best photographs. I think having family portraits done at your home is the ultimate sentimental family session.
This family session was important to them because they accomplished a goal with their home. What better way to celebrate that accomplishment than pictures inside and outside of your home.
Capturing Milestones| Engagement Photographer| Children's Photographer
When I first me this couple it was capturing their sweet little girl coming into the world. Now, I have had the pleasure of capturing their engagement photos. Being engaged is another important chapter of their lives. Also, do they not have one of the cutest babies EVER!!! Capturing these milestones is what makes me the happiest about taking photos.
Cozy Boudoir| Boudoir Photographer
Here is another gorgeous woman breaking out of her comfort zone and doing a boudoir session. She is full of laughter and beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. When a client asks me what they should wear to a boudoir shoot, I always reply with anything that you feel comfortable in. You don’t have to be in lingerie to feel sexy. A coxy, oversized sweater can make you feel just as sexy as a lingerie piece. Don’t overthink your outfits for your boudoir session, wear what makes you feel sexy and comfortable.
No Makeup Beauty| Boudoir Photography|Portrait Photography
This woman is gorgeous just as much on the inside as she is the outside. I have to point out how she isn’t wearing a bit of makeup. Don’t we all wish we can look this gorgeous without makeup?!?!?!?
Another fun fact about this session is she is wearing her grandmothers jacket in her portrait photos. I love it when sentimental aspects are represented in photographs. It provides true meaning and a story behind the photo.
