Every time I have been to Miami, I usually have to make a pit stop at this bathroom and there are usually homeless people around it. These restrooms are someones shower, bathroom, and place to rest. Imagine if that was how you and/or your family had to live. I know there is the argument that they can better themselves, but that's not the case for everyone. I think about the homeless people walking around with severe mental health issues that masks their pain with drugs or that maybe had a childhood so bad that they just needed a little bit of love throughout their life. Now, at least it doesn't get freezing in Miami; however, can you imagine the summers and how dehydrated you would get from being homeless in 100 degree weather.
There is homeless issues all around our country and I don't know why this situation in particular made me feel the need to blog about it, but it did. When I think of wanting more materialistic things or upgrades that I stress myself out about, I try think of this right here. There will always be someone out there wishing they could live your life and have the things you currently have. Be grateful for what you have because there is someone out there that has it worse than you do.
