Winter Photography| Sparta, Tennessee Family Photographer

This sweet family also booked a mini session for their yearly photos. This was supposed to be a traditional fall session, but as you can tell mother nature decided for it to snow. Even though it was freezing this day, the kiddos did so good for their pictures. I'm still crossing my fingers that we will get one big snow.

Family Photography| Rock Island State Park

Rock Island is one of my favorite places to take pictures at. There are so many spots to choose from and they are make for the perfect family photos. The lighting, the scenery, and the outfits were perfect for this family session. I mean you can’t go wrong with buffalo plaid, ever.

Fall Photography| Sparta, Tennessee Photographer

Fall mini’s are always some of my favorite sessions to shoot. Most of my fall mini clients are recurring clients, so I love seeing how families change between sessions. Fall photos turn out to be some of the best photos for clients. I think the golden sunshine, fall wardrobe, and the fact it’s not 90 degrees outside helps with that. If you only choose one time of the year to have portraits made, definitely pick the fall. The colors always pop.

Reality of Picture Day| Middle, TN Children's Photographer

I know we all love looking at the Pinterest perfect pictures of kids photos, but let's be honest kids have off days. They could be perfect little angels and do everything just how you want them to or they could cry the entire time. This family session turned out to be a good session, but there was a lot of crying and very few smiles. That's the reality of kids though, their true reality. They cry, smile, throw fits, have off days, etc. I know when you get to finally have family photos taken, you want them at their best, but having a photograph of them smiling or having one with them also being themselves throwing a fit, is a good photo as well. Embrace the perfection, but also embrace the other side of it. Remember that's reality for the rest of our lives!
